What Others Say About Working with Allison...

Feedback from other classes...

  • Emma, MA

My favorite part of the class was how interactive it was, and the other women who participated - it definitely helped to see that other T1D women are in the same boat and share my worries as well. Allison is so easy to talk to and open to any questions, which I also loved.

  • Allison, NY

In this time when so many of us must be away from others, finding community is immensely valuable. To find a community of folks who are also diabetes warriors and who are sharing my same worries, fears and frustrations was incredibly powerful and paved the way for healing. Allison did a great job of fostering connections and I'm walking away with so many new diabuddies!

  • Kelsey, MS

There is a lot to learn jam-packed into these sessions, and it's aspects of taking care of yourself and your diabetes that I don't think are discussed most of the time, especially with your endo. I don't often talk to my endo about how self-compassionate, confident, curious, or calm I feel with my diabetes, and it was eye-opening to see how important all four are.

  • Lisa, NM

Absolutely I would encourage others to take the class!! The presentations were clear, thoughtful, and relevant. The slides contained bulleted items, diagrams, and citations to literature. The materials were well-done and we were free to download them. Classes could be attended in real time, or viewed when convenient.

  • Elly, MN

The more knowledge and understanding we have, the better prepared we will be and the better equipped to handle the challenges. Personally, I only get a short time within an appointment with my care team to discuss these types of questions and issues, so any additional resources are critical to feeling prepared and ready for baby.

FAQ

  • When are the calls?

The workshops and coaching calls will vary each month. Most of the time the workshops will be during the day and the coaching calls will be in the evening. But the precise days and times will vary to accommodate a variety of schedules. All calls will be recorded.

  • Is this like group therapy?

No. Although I am a licensed therapist, this is not a replacement or substitute for individual or group therapy. The purpose of this group is not to treat a mental health condition, but to improve the behaviors around diabetes management.

  • What if this group isn't right for me? Are there refunds?

I fully believe in this membership that I offer membership cancellations to anyone who feels like this is not a good fit. Diabetes is expensive enough without spending money on something that isn't serving you. However, there are no refunds on months used.
